Welcome to the Evesham Sub-aqua Club website. We are an active club for diving and dive training and are affiliated to the BSAC (British Sub-aqua Club). Our club has been running for 30 years and some of our founder members are still with us and still diving!! We meet at 8.00 every Wednesday evening at Pershore swimming pool for dive training, swimming, and general gossip then re convene in the Millers Arms at 9.00 for liquid refreshment!

We dive regularly throughout the year starting in early spring through to late autumn, diving such places as Hope cove in Salcombe, Pembrooke, Mevagissey, Penzance, Plymouth, Lyme Regis and many more. There is also one or two warm water holidays per year planned. Next year we have a trip to Oman planned for February and who knows where else?!

Every year the lads have a week away to 'Scotland' without the ladies, the 'Scotland' trip takes them to places such as Mull, Scapa Flow, Isles of Scilly, Ireland and this years sabbatical which is to the Isle of Man.'Scotland' is quite loosely used to describe this annual event!.. After much diving, drinking, golf, drinking, eating, drinking and deliberating has been done they return home, well 'refreshed' already with the plan for next years Scotland trip in hand!!

Beginners

Try Dives

If you have never dived before and would like to try without any obligation to continue, we offer the opportunity to try SCUBA diving in the relative safety of a swimming pool. A try dive session usually consists of a short introductory lecture into diving and safety, followed by up to an hour in the water with a one-to-one or one-to-two maximum student to instructor ratio.

A try-dive session costs £10.00 which is fully refundable against the ocean diver course should you decide you like diving and wish to continue your training with Evesham Sub-Aqua Club.

Cross Over Training

There are many diver training organisations in the world and this is recognised by the BSAC. If you have previously learned to dive with another organisation and are interested in converting your qualification to a BSAC approved one, Evesham Sub-Aqua Club can help. Typical cross over courses consist of a lecture introducing the BSAC and one or more lectures on how to use the BSAC '88 Decompression Tables.
